This public repository is hosted on an unmanaged, low-footprint virtual private server provided by Hetzner Cloud (Ashburn, VA data center park).
- 100% Renewable Energy: Our hosting infrastructure operates under 100% renewable energy coverage via regional wind and hydro Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs).
- Extreme Energy Efficiency: The facility operates at a Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) of ~1.1 to 1.13, compared to the traditional data center industry average of 1.5–1.8.
- Zero Evaporative Water Cooling: Our host uses direct free-air cooling rather than consuming municipal water supplies via evaporative cooling towers.
Technical Stack
- Operating System: Workstation authoring and server runtime powered by Fedora Linux
- Application Framework: Built using Python and Flask, served via Gunicorn WSGI
- Spatial & GIS Database: PostgreSQL with PostGIS extensions for vector boundary analysis, parcel evaluation, and spatial querying
- Web Server & Security: Caddy Web Server providing reverse proxying, TLS/HTTPS encryption via Let's Encrypt, and zero-runtime-overhead static asset delivery
- Deployment & Versioning: Fully declarative infrastructure-as-code deployed via secure SSH/rsync pipelines directly from local developer workstations

In keeping with public-interest advocacy, this site does not utilize third-party trackers, persistent advertising cookies, or cross-site analytics scripts.
Server access logs are recorded in structured JSON format solely for security verification, denial-of-service mitigation, and monitoring public intake traffic.
